Meet Jake. Jake is now about 10 months old, but at the time we met him back in April (when this video was shot), the avalanche rescue dog-in-training was only 10 weeks old.
The yellow lab worked with Vail Patroller Matt Whalen over the course of the summer and fall in hopes of growing to fulfill patrol puppies’ dreams of saving lives. We hope Jake made it!
