Tony Hawk is the most famous skateboarder on Earth. To become that good, however, one must fall. A lot. And although he might drive fancy cars and travel the world in style, Tony is still a skate rat at heart. He still loves skating backyard pools with old friends. He still loves working on new and old tricks. He’s fallen a lot in his career, and he’s gotten pretty good at it, but sometimes, things still go badly. As they did in the session Thrasher magazine put out recently.
Tony Hawk has done much more dangerous tricks. Mega-ramps in particular, where he’s going insanely high, but the human body doesn’t necessarily need all that much force to break. It just needs the right angle. And Tony Hawk found that angle when he landed wrong on his hand. If you’re squeamish, do not watch this.
