Have you ever tried rock running? That shit ain’t easy, but it’s a great way to train for long underwater hold downs. Sofía Gómez Uribe is most likely not doing it for that reason, though. She’s a Columbian world champion freediver with six national records. The woman can hold her breath for a long, long time and get to depths deeper than 300 feet.
She runs Blue Element, a freediving school in Dominica, which is where the video you see above was made. “Making this video was so much fun,” she wrote after grabbing a rock, dropping down to about 60 feet, and running back to the surface with it.
