Similar to where most everything in snowboarding is headed these days, the Snowboarding to Music series ended its run deep in spray-heavy reaches of Japan. And much like the rest of the edits that Flux dropped starting back in early October, the latest video invokes really good driving music: steady, seamless, and worth putting on repeat.
This time around, Tyler Lynch, Erik Leon, Scotty Vine, Blake Axelson, Yuma Abe, Taka Nakamura, Yuya Akada, and Yosuke Hayashi made up the team that headed up to the northernmost island, Hokkaido, where they sunk into that talked-about, telltale Far East powder. But don’t think they kept to the backwoods. They also thrashed through any enticing groomers or urban set ups they came across. Needless to say, the boys had a damn good time.
However, as referenced above, this was the last stop of a four-trip trip. The crew began their Pacific-trottin’ tour in Boreal, where the warm Tahoe sun shined bright over their park session…
…followed by a Squaw rail jam…
…with a third leg in Northstar…
…before finishing in Japan.
As seen above, every stop along the way was undisputedly good. But there is something about Japan that keeps the western folk coming back for more.
