If you ever find yourself in Point Dume, a little area to the north of First Point Malibu, in the month of March, and you are staring out at the ocean, there’s a good chance you’ll see a plume of spray erupt from the ocean’s surface. It’s a whale, of course, on its way from Mexico to the Arctic. In the video you see above, drone pilot Carlos Gauna shifted his focus from sharks to whales, and got some absolutely stunning footage.
