It’s not often anyone sees a pregnant great white shark. Carlos Gauna, however, thinks he did just that in a recent flyover off the California coastline. It wasn’t a fluke, though — Gauna spends much of his time looking at the screen of his drone remote, and he routinely films incredible footage of sharks in California.
“In a first for me,” he wrote, “I found what appears to be a very large pregnant great white shark just off shore of a popular beach. This shark maybe the largest I’ve seen to date. Larger than the sharks I filmed last month near the whale carcass. The girth of this shark is noticeable.”
