If you haven’t seen Mad Max: Fury Road yet, you’re doing it wrong — “it” being life. Seriously, pull yourself together. This isn’t one of those FOMO (fear of missing out for all you non-millenials) moments… this is that truly monumental shit that will undoubtedly be responsible for some sort of societal or cultural development.
The B-roll? It is basically the extended seminar to the main lecture if the movie was a masterclass in off-road badass-ery, where long-tenured professor George Miller takes a backseat and the star pupils in the superhuman stunt choreographers and stuntmen take the helm. The scenes involving moving cars and motorcycles begin around the 8:30 mark. These types of stunt choreographers and stuntmen often began their high-octane obsessions way back when by crawling up rock roads or mountainbiking down dirt paths, so take a moment to appreciate how many hours and days and years they must have invested in evolving from ATVs and mountainbikes while perfecting their craft to become such amazing experts.
But don’t take our word for it. Watch the embedded video above for yourself, keeping a keen eye for the Doof Wagon, double-guitar guy and all, at the 6:45 mark. And below is one of the moving cars and motorcycles scenes brought to the silverscreen in all its manic glory.
