The Inertia

Greyson Fletcher isn’t afraid of leaving a bit of blood on the ground. In fact, it would seem the San Clemente, Calif. local almost welcomes it. “Skate Fast, Slam Hard, Leave Blood” is scrawled across a recent painting in his studio. Part of the Fletcher surfing dynasty, Greyson took to the concrete more readily than he did the water, but the ocean and his father and grandfather’s feats in surfing was always a source of inspiration.

“Growing up, my dad and my uncle always told me to go fast and go big,” Greyson said. “My style is kinda like riding a big wave, but on a skateboard. You’ve got the concrete instead of water, but you still have that big face, that big wall for plenty of speed and air.”

Greyson’s artwork and high-flying skate style have inspired a new line of Arbor skateboards that were just released and are brought to life in Greyson’s most recent edit, Leave Blood, filmed in Greyson’s art studio and the local skatepark.
