I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this year’s Kings and Queens of Corbet’s was absolutely wild. Sending it into Corbet’s Couloir in deep powder is one thing, but to do it with just a couple inches on top of a sheet of solid ice is quite another, and that’s exactly what competitors did on competition day.
Another thing they were doing on competition day was wearing GoPros. Every run was recorded from the athlete’s perspective, giving viewers an intimate perspective into how scary dropping into icy Corbet’s truly is. In short, it’s terrifying.
