It probably played out a lot better in kayaker David O’Sullivan’s head. Paddling off the 40-foot San Pedro waterfall in Mexico is questionable enough — doing so with a sombrero on top of your helmet (and subsequently over your eyes) raises it from questionable to highly concerning. That he made it away from the drop relatively unscathed… we’ll have to write that off as luck of the Irish.
