There are those ski towns that shut down come summer and there are those that don’t. Jackson Hole is overwhelmingly and unequivocally the latter — from hiking and fly fishing to mountain biking.
And the North American freeriding mecca doesn’t lose a step, largely in thanks to its forever-stoked population of tried-and-true outdoors-men and -women. Take locals Owen Leeper, Meredith Edwards, Connery Lundin, and Tyler Horne: all backcountry skiers and guides, the foursome know a thing or two about the mountain. So even in the high noon of summer when temperatures are climbing to their peaks, the crew knows exactly where to go for a nice, refreshing pond skim.
Needless to say, but said all the same: it was epic.
