Style is everything. Someone could be doing the latest corked trick, corked well beyond comprehension, but it doesn’t matter —when it looks like a robot is doing it, falls flat. Now, don’t get me wrong, to throw that many rotations takes a surplus of skill. I would probably get dizzy and ralph all over myself throwing anything past a one. But it still doesn’t do it for me. I’m more about those riders who developed such style that you can immediately tell who it is through their riding, without ever seeing a close-up of their face.
Torstein Horgmo knows a thing or two about that tell-tale style. In the fifth installment to the DC Shoes Underline series, Horgmo sends it, with style to spare. Torstein even hula hooped (a few times) off of a rather large kicker… you can’t knock that.
