I don’t speak French, but I do know that merde means “shit” and putain means “fuck,” two words that are said a lot in this video as Micka Bimboes is buried more than a meter beneath a massive avalanche. With everyone wearing GoPros, viewers at home get a direct view into the action of the sliding snow, Micka’s burial, and the subsequent search and rescue by his friends. Despite the obviously scary situation of having a friend buried beneath the snow, these guys do everything right, keeping eyes on him as the avalanche gobbles him up, and whipping out their beacons and shovels as soon as they arrive on the scene of the slide. Next time you get out in the snow, don’t forget your most essential piece of safety equipment – friends to dig you out when the merde hits the fan.
