The Inertia

This crazy little activity is relatively new as far as board sports go. Invented in 1997 by Stanford University Master’s student, Steen Strand, Freebording is a unique style of skateboarding that blurs the lines between cruising asphalt and carving powder…and surfing, too. With a 360 degree rotating wheel placed in-between each set of wheels on the trucks, plus bindings to keep your feet strapped on the deck, Freebords allow you to, carve, slide and drift unlike a normal skateboard. The psychoes in this video can be seen bombing the hills of San Francisco and making them look a lot more like Tahoe. Looks fun, huh?
