The Inertia

There are not many things in life that make you feel like more of a big shot than a personal helicopter. It’s something many won’t ever get to experience, but Austin Keen did on a recent trip to Australia.

He was there for the GoPro Creator Summit, which is a gathering of 40 athletes (see influencers with large social followings) who film themselves doing interesting things. This year’s summit took place in Western Australia — specifically the beaches of Broome in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. The Summit had training sessions that covered effective storytelling, mastering social content, and Photoshop. Then, of course, everyone was handed a HERO7 Black and sent off into the wilds to create, create, create. Afterward, they headed back, handed over their content, and watched as GoPro’s in-house team reviewed and edited it all.

Keen hit the ground running, wrangled a helicopter, stuffed it full of skimboards and foils, and made the edit you see above.
