Heli-skiing out, Plane Assisted Skiing in. While the name needs a little work — sounds like a high adventure retirement community — the basic concept is fun enough. But for us, it the all-encompassing expanse of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park that takes this basic concept to conquering heights. There is the whole conversation surrounding fuel consumption that speaks to both practices of airborne transport, a conversation that needs to happen and absolutely should not be ignore, but the somewhat throwback propellor plane uses a lot less of said fuel… so it has that going for them, which is nice.
