A spectacular display of snowboard proficiency on one of the most storied features in all of snowboarding. That pretty much sums up this segment from the Oakley team movie For Me, featuring a handful of Olympians and the most superb stylists in the game getting it done after a hectic competition season late last spring.
Hitting the hip in Hemsedal, Norway is a timeless and sacred right of passage for any snowboarder looking to secure legend status.
From Mads Jonsson to Kazu and now Mark McMorris, putting down a new trick or trying to one-up the gigantic airs of past shredders is at best a daunting task. But as prolific slayer of transition Mikkel Bang puts it: “You don’t necessarily have to do the craziest trick for it to be cool in snowboarding, just show that you have board control and all of the sudden thats cool again.”
It’s refreshing to see that In spite of the numerous doubles thrown down in this mind-blowing segment it is still the method that gets the curtains.
