Tuesday, December 12 was not the bigger nor the best session from this season so far at Nazaré. Even so, there were a couple of fun bombs ridden and it was a nice warm-up session for the boys. Sebastian Steudtner and Hugo Vau both scored some pretty solid ones (tow-in), João de Macedo got a sick one with his big gun – he was the only one paddling that day and we loved the show… but the highlight of the session was for sure the “Ghost Rider,” a.k.a. my good friend Kalani Lattanzi, that guy is the ultimate waterman, he bodysurfs, bodyboards, surfs, and he’s been charging Big Naza on all fronts. That moment with his surfboard doing its thing by itself shows that everything is aligned for him to make a big score at Nazaré. If he managed to hold himself on that one, that would have been the wave of the session… can’t wait to watch him on a proper monster session in the war zone, that guy will make history in Praia do Norte.
