“Every day when I get up in the morning, instead of lying down and waiting to die, I go up there and have a little buzz.” – Christian Keller
Passion is passion. Life might be complicated, but passion is not — it is that raw draw to something or another, whatever that something or another is. The pursuit of said passion (or life as mentioned before) might be complicated, but the underlying passion itself should be bright as day.
With that in mind, these are the weathered, smiling faces of lifelong passion.
Christian Keller and Franz Pichler, friends and ski instructors, first started working at Perisher in Australia decades ago. This year they are celebrating a combined 50 years of ski instructing.
We’re talking about two dudes who didn’t grow up with lifts readily available to them; when they started skiing, they HIKED the hill. But it was “fun” like neither of them had ever experienced before. And that fun followed from Germany to Australia, from youth through maturity.
And now join me in celebrating this fun by celebrating two incredible representatives of it.
Here’s to you, Christian and Franz. To many more pow days ahead.
