There’s nothing better than a good surf documentary. And a new one is about to hit our screens April 29. The seven-part documentary series follows the world’s best surfers on the Championship Tour as they compete for the coveted world title.
The series includes never-before-seen interviews with 11-time world champion Kelly Slater, seven-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore, three-time world champion Gabriel Medina, two-time world champion Tyler Wright, 2019 world champion and Olympic gold medalist Italo Ferreira, and 2021 Olympian Tatiana Weston-Webb. The documentary includes appearances from a number of other standout CT surfers as well.
Shot during the 2021 Championship Tour, the series touches on the surfers’ personal lives, their goals and accomplishments, and the challenges they’ve faced while in pursuit of the world title.
“This is a war,” says Stephanie Gilmore in the dramatic trailer. “You have to find a way to win it and do it at all costs.”
