The 2025 Pipe Pro was history-making in more ways than one. On the men’s side, Barron Mamiya became the first back-to-back winner since Andy Irons, after defeating Leo Fioravanti in an all-time heat. Meanwhile, Tyler Wright became the first woman to clinch the title for a second time in her career – facing off against defending world champion Caity Simmers, no less.
On the way there, there were also a slew of incredible rides. The WSL just released a highlight reel of the event, from which there was an embarrassment of riches in terms of waves to choose from (although, depending on who you ask, some of those waves may have been criminally underscored).
It’s a roller coaster of a watch, and hopefully enough to satiate the thirst for competitive surfing during the short turnaround until the Surf Abu Dhabi Pro. Check it out below.
