Liz Clark is an adventurer, a surfer, a sailboat captain, and now an author whose first book is coming out next year. In 2005, Liz pursued her lifelong dream to live on her boat, setting sail for French Polynesia from her home in Santa Barbara.
She’s now sailed over 20,000 miles and has learned a lot about herself, life, and the world along the way. One of the lessons she’s taken from her time sailing the world is that exploration isn’t something that happens when you travel; it happens within as you challenge and push yourself.
Liz is a good friend of mine and we had a great time during this interview. She is so genuine and thoughtful, and I love how open she is in talking about her voyage, her boat, the process of writing a book, and some of the challenges she’s overcome through it all.
