The Inertia

The world of YouTube generally doesn’t lend itself to brevity. It’s a medium that most often rewards loose editing, lengthy videos and repetitive content. However, despite entering into the world of influencers and freesurfers after leaving the tour, Zeke Lau still manages to stick to his laconic roots.

His latest post is one such example. There’s no update on his life, no monologue to camera, no sponsored endorsements – just a punchy edit with an equally arresting title: HIGH FREQUENCY.

In it, Lau does a whole lot of what he does best – tackling the North Shore’s finest waves with intensity and finesse. The effort is further aided by beautiful camerawork from filmmaker Matt Heirakuki. What more could you want, really?
