The three venues now waiting for the signal include the Basque Country, Spain, Half Moon Bay, California, and Nelscott Reef, Oregon.
Some of the big wave chargers set to compete are Greg Long (USA), Mark Healey (Haw), Peter Mel (USA), Jamie Sterling (USA), Grant Baker (South Africa), Carlos Burle (Brazil), Shawn Dollar (USA), Ben Wilkinson (Australia), and Naxto Gonzalez (Spain).
Shawn Dollar, Xpreshon Big Wave World Tour surfer, said in a recent press release, “Myself and the other big wave surfers around the world are ready and it’s amazing to all be together and face these giant swells. To surf massive waves with this brotherhood is truly an amazing thing.”
