Kieren Perrow’s career on the World Tour came to a painful and abrupt halt at the 2013 Pipe Masters, when he dislocated his shoulder and had to be pulled from the water. The following year, Kieren assumed the role of the ASP Commissioner, and has since seemed to have slipped into surf obscurity. That, of course, couldn’t be further from the truth. Here, Kieren reminds us that when he takes off those commissioner slacks, he’s still the same dude who pioneered and dominated terrifying spots like Shipstern’s Bluff and finished runner-up at the Pipe Masters just a few years before his injury.
