Getting enough clips to stitch together a surf film is not an easy thing to do, no matter who you are. It takes time, and as you likely know, the whims of Mother Nature aren’t easily scheduled. Aside from the surfing (which is incredible) in Kanoa Igarashi’s Freedom, what’s hard to wrap one’s head around is how quickly he filmed it.
