The Inertia

I’m pretty sure the universe had connected us all to celebrate a day with the purest meaning of surfing and our love for the ocean. While The Eddie contest was happening, the Superbank lit up at the very same time.

Some of these photos are from earlier in the afternoon while the tide was dropping. Perfect, uncrowded just before it got too big for Greenmount to handle it! A dream to photograph, as I’ve avoided shooting for the past two days (too crazy; too many people). But this day, Mick Fanning and four other people were surfing Kirra… SCORE!

El Niño is certainly responsible for all of this. Just hoping that it lasts for the Quiky Pro, to break the bad stigma of flat contests and mega swells before and after!
