Watching surfers charge the closeout that is the Dirty Ol’ Wedge is pretty fun. Boards are broken, swims are had, and occasionally, a wave is made. But skimboarders just seem to have it figured out. The way they use the side refraction to set up for the crux of the wave, it’s actually a little athletic artistry. And when skimboarders like Blair Conklin, Austin Keen, and Brad Domke ride the Wedge, you definitely take notice.
