We definitely just enjoyed one of the most fruitful hurricane seasons in the past few decades here on the East Coast. Sure, it’s been bigger, cleaner, and emptier at times in the past, but I can’t recall the surf being this amazing for such a long period of time. Ever.
This particular day, Southern NC was rightfully overshadowed by some draining surf in the Outer Banks. In fact, OBX kind of resembled a mini-Teahupoʻo, so you can imagine all eyes were focused on that. Still, there was no shortage of smiles here with the number of barrels that people were being shot out of.
