What a day at Peahi. With solid swell out of the WNW and a steady offshore wind blowing from the south, Jaws was absolutely firing all afternoon. Between the dozens of bewildered spectators on the cliff to the big wave maniacs in the lineup, the atmosphere was truly incredible. This is a sequence is of local Maui boy Albee Layer, who dropped in on the wave of the day. You could see this dark line coming from deep water way out on the horizon, and everyone on the cliffs stood up and screamed as it came through. January 21, 2015 will go down in the history books and more big swell is on the horizon.
