When you hear that Australian surf royalty Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmore are sharing a lineup, you know it’s going to be good. That’s why Mason Ho brought the pair along with him for a landlocked strike mission to to the Palm Springs Surf Club, along with some of the Snapt crew, for good measure.
Palm Springs Surf Club is sort of a Schrodinger’s wave – it seems to constantly exist in a state of being simultaneously alive and dead, depending on who and when you ask. However, when the thing is up and running, it’s a sight to behold. There’s a reason Snapt creator Logan Dulien dubbed it the “heaviest pool slab ever.”
Speaking of Snapt, the beloved surf film series turns out to be the force behind the most recent Ho/Gilmore/Fanning collab. As such, the trio were joined partway through by a few more of the Snapt crew, including Ian Crane, Asher Pacey, Taro Watanabe, Victor Bernardo and, for course, Logan Dulien himself.
