I have a theory. I generally try and shy away from judgement (out loud, at least), but my theory is this: great surfers can surf all types of surfboards. Longboards, shortboards, twins, mid-lengths, or whatever else is on offer. A surfer’s board choice should match the wave, because some waves just call for a certain type of surfboard. The surfer who can use them all is the one who’s making the most out of every condition, and unless you live somewhere with perfect waves all the time… well, you’re going to need to switch it up. You need to have the right equipment for the job, right? Enter Victor Bernardo, a man of many talents.
In Album’s latest YouTube offering, Bernardo demonstrates a mastery of a variety of different Album Surfboards. Wave type dictates surf craft, and Bernardo’s got pretty much all of it dialed right in.
