Jack Strickland and Francesca Pusceddu spent four months living at sea on a 17-foot boat. Of course they created a YouTube series for the trip because, well, it doesn’t get much more epic than traveling remote Australian stretches of coast via boat. The series, Back2Basics Adventures, shows this duo living off the Earth, killing it, literally, by catching loads of incredible fish with both rod and speargun.
In this, their 27th episode, Strickland is fishing for dogtooth tuna with a speargun rather far offshore. He nails one but watches helplessly as a pack of sharks devours his catch. Suffice it to say, the sharks weren’t messing around. “This was the craziest mission I’ve ever gone on,” he wrote, “searching for the elusive dogtooth tuna we head far offshore to dive the drop hoping to catch the most badass fish in the ocean.”
