Blair Conklin’s surfing, pardon us, skimming, is imaginative to say the least. First he’s athletic as hell when he runs from the beach and places his skimboard in the sand before pulling a big backside hack (then immediately enters the barrel). Or, he creates new ways to use finless boards in unique environments. Like turning a skimboard into a scooter for river wave surfing in south Laguna Beach, or as he did here, uses his beach winch to have fun at the Palm Springs Surf Club.
