Mason Ho has a preternatural ability to surf rocky breaks. At this point it often seems like he’s just trolling us, like he’s picking surf breaks specifically because of how nightmarish they would be to the rest of us mere mortals. The latest video posted to his YouTube channel was a prime example, where went out for a session that should send a shiver down the spine of even the most advanced ripper.
Once you get over the anxiety of watching Mason literally drop in onto the surface of a rock, the footage is a delight to watch. This time, he also brought his friend ‘Baby Bear’ along for the ride, though we do not necessarily envy him for having to navigate one of Mason’s rocky playgrounds.
From there, it was a quick jaunt to Backdoor for some fun-sized surf with significantly fewer obstacles. A couple other North Shore regualrs made appearances, too, including Coco Ho, Mananalu Chandler, Jesse James and Kiara Gold.
