Jamie O’Brien is pretty used to scoring perfect Pipeline. That doesn’t mean, however, that he’s BORED of it. It just means he’s very lucky to live where he does. He’s so used it that he routinely surfs perfect Pipeline on a variety of vessels, from kayaks to inflatable swans to couches. If it floats, Jamie O’Brien will try and get barreled on it.
When Jeff Hubbard, three-time world champ, decided to spend a few hours with the J.O.B posse, the obvious craft for Pipeline was a body board. “It was the best Pipeline we’ve seen in a month, and I paddled out on a boogieboard,” O’Brien wrote. And of course, Jamie found himself inside a few tubes that would be the barrel of a lifetime for 99 percent of the surfing population.
