If the above is what Caroline has been up to during her break from the Championship Tour earlier this year, it looks like time well spent. A boat trip to the Mentawais to get shacked silly, time at home in Southern California, and a trip to the BSR Surf Resort to dial in her air game has got to be just what the doctor ordered, as Caroline has come back swinging, with an even third in El Salvador, a fifth at the Oi Rio Pro, and her trademark backhand attack on full display at both events.
With Caroline’s air and barrel skills in full view, above, she seems well-poised to do some damage at J-Bay and Teahupo’o, the last two events of the season. Will she be able to do enough to crack the Final Five and appear at Trestles? We’ll see.
