Tony Hawk is skateboarding’s GOAT. It’s tough to know, however, just how well a skill in one thing will translate to another. So when Austin Keen got a hold of the Birdman for a quick rip behind the Mastercraft for his Celebrity Surf Series, no one was totally sure exactly what was going to happen. It wasn’t his first kick at the wakesurfing can, obviously — if it’s a board, Tony is likely to have tried riding it, and also likely to be very good at it.. So Tony, as you probably expected, performed surprisingly well. So well that he even checked off his first 360. Then he flipped the script and took Keen to his 13.5-foot vert ramp to see how a pro skimboarder would fare.
