The Edge kneeboard was designed by George Greenough in the early 1970s. Now, nearly 45 years later, George is back at it again, shaping stand-up Edge boards for the likes of Dave Rastovich and Ellis Ericson. George has teamed up with Bay Area shaper Marc Andreini over the past few months, tweaking the design and bringing fun back in surfing. In this video, Matt Grote and Kyle Kennelly surf the Edge in a variety of conditions with varying results. The Edge board is not the next fish, but it’s certainly a design to keep an eye on.
