You’d be right to think that you have to be a little crazy to surf here. However, there’s no place I would rather be than home in Maine for the winter. It’s simply beautiful. With -15 °C air and a -25 °C wind chill, most surfers would trade their wetties and board in for a snuggie and a cup of hot chocolate. I don’t blame ’em. Despite the cold, bitter weather that prevails most of the winter, Maine has some incredible waves on offer.
