If you haven’t heard Tony Hawk talk about “being core” you should definitely take a listen. Guy’s gotta eat. And it seems Mr. Hawk has eaten supremely well over the last two or three decades thanks to plenty of sponsorship deals. Like this one with Got Milk.
It especially helps if you pull off spectacular feats during filming for said sponsorship deals. Like this McTwist (basically an inverted 540) while holding a glass of milk for a campaign to promote milk drinking. “Inspired by @katieledecky,” wrote Hawk on his Instagram account, referencing the Olympic swimmer who did laps while balancing milk, “I tried to do a bunch of basic tricks without spilling to little success. So I tried this as a joke… and it worked (yes, it’s real). Got McTwist?”
That is a helluva pitchman.
