Tom Lowe has surfed a lot of really good, really big waves. He’s been doing it for decades — surfing the biggest and best waves around the world is what he lives for, and he goes in at top speed. Like many big wave surfers, he did most of it without a major sponsor, but he crawled his way up the ladder to become one of the most respected surfers in lineups with waves that are way bigger than average.
Because he’s had all that experience, when he says a ride was the “wave of his life,” it should not be taken lightly. “Since the first paddle session ten years back,” he wrote about the insanity you see above, “I’ve been waiting for this ride…wave of my life.” He scratched into the Mully monster on a 9’6 quad, and it is not a wave he’ll soon forget.
