In the world of surfboards, there’s one that’s the talk of the town right now. It’s Chris Christenson’s “Myconaut“, and to be blunt, it looks awesome.
In the video you see above, Tom Carroll and Luca Elder break it down. They’re both riding a stock 5’1″, but Tom is riding it with the FCS 2 Split Keel set up and Luca went with Future Fin’s Controllers.
The board is an interesting one, with a deep vee running through the bottom. “The goods here for me,” Tom said, “is the deep vee running right through it. That made it really nice and predictable. There was no craziness in the board, but it had all drive and all the fun aspects of a fish. It was pretty free off the tail.”
