The 10th annual Capitulo Perfeito powered by Billabong has locked in its final contestant. The annual one-day, invite-only tube-riding competition recently announced its final list of invitees, but there was still one TBD on the list. Now, with the close of the trials event, that final competitor has been found.
The qualifier took place Wednesday at Carcavelos Beach, the same venue that will eventually host the main event. Eight local surfers competed, with the final heat coming down to a showdown between Tiago Stock, Santiago Graça, João Kopke and António Lacrau.

In the end Tiago Stock emerged victorious. He showed a dominant performance throughout, winning both his heats and scoring the two best waves of the competition (seven points in the first round and eight points in the final). Now that Tiago has qualified, he joins the roster of invitees that includes Rob Machado, Nathan Florence and Nic von Rupp.

Now that the final list of entrants is complete, we have only to wait for the main event. True to the event’s “Perfect Chapter” moniker, the competition will only be called on when the forecast indicates a consistent swell and strong enough offshore winds. It’s gonna be a wild one.
