The Inertia

We love dogs at The Inertia. Love ’em. On any given day at the office, there are at least three dogs barking, pissing, and cuddling across every square inch of flooring they can get their paws on. From Doug, the beefy and indifferent pit, to Luna, the cuddly puppy Golden Doodle, to Harper, our attack dog Yorkie, we’ve got quite the menagerie. We could double as a dog-sitting service easily.

So it’s no surprise we’re big fans of Ricochet. Ricochet is a surf therapy dog from San Diego. Her birthday is January 25, 2008, and she’s raised over $500k for various philanthropic causes. We joined her and her owner for an outing a while back with two boys named Jacob who needed heart transplants in order to raise awareness for organ donations. Maximum belly rubs and warm fuzzies ensued.

“The experience is so full of joy that we all become family,” says Ricochet’s owner, Judy Fridono. “There is a lot of healing going on.”

Dogs make people happy. And Ricochet’s true passion is empowering kids with special needs, wounded warriors, and veterans with PTSD through surfing.

She should continue to do that. Seems like it’s working.
