So far, spring has landed with an autumn-like thud in West Oz. After a surf-starved winter with incessant howling on-shores, the locals are quickly burning off their winter insulation with opportunities for waves provided all along the coast.
This morning began smaller than expected with beachies and exposed reefs providing the best options but as the long period swell filled in the bays began to slowly yawn awake. The hellmen were happy as the exposed reefs started to bomb, made even more challenging by a whipping side shore wind.
Hibernation is over for now, though spring is notoriously average for winds and swell conditions. So who really knows how long it’ll last?
