The word stoke gets thrown around a lot. Grumpy old men that scowl at anyone having fun say they’re stoked. Lunada Bay locals say they’re stoked. But you know what real stoke is? It’s pure, unadulterated joy–and children have way more of that than pretty much every adult.
The Robertson brothers are living proof of that. Featured in the upcoming film, The Search for Freedom, the three groms are pretty much a snapshot of stoke. The film “is the story of a cultural revolution fueled by the human desire to live in the moment and do what makes you feel most alive,” and features the likes of Kelly Slater, Jeremy Jones, Tony Hawk, Kelia Moniz, Kai Lenny, and a whole bunch of stoked people.
