I was recently witness to another epic soft top/Wavestorm takeover event, the likes of which have suddenly become iconic in the surfing world. Nearly 100 surfers showed up at Salt Creek this week with their soft tops, costumes, and speedos (I counted 87, but there was probably more). The conditions couldn’t have been better as we got a solid SSW swell that made for perfect longboarding waves at one of Orance County’s go-to summer breaks.
There may have been a few busted boards but the stoke in the water was all time.
