This was an unexpected surprise. I was planning on going up to the Wedge on my day off and ran into Amateur World Champion and South American Champion Lucas Fink. The Redbull logos were a dead giveaway.
Also in the line up was the infamous Blair Conklin riding side by side with Lucas on a few waves. It’s so fun to watch watermen of this caliber in their natural environment and outside of competition. It shows their passion for what they do. At 19 years old, Lucas is setting a new level of performance in the Skimboarding community. Already having several championships under his belt, Lucas’s hunger for total domination is wide spread.
