Waimea Bay isn’t the only spot that has solid river surfing as a river or creek enters the ocean. In fact, we’re pretty sure there are loads of undiscovered spots out there. But one spot that has been discovered and highlighted, mostly by Blair Conklin and friends, is the Aliso Creek wave near Laguna Beach, Calif. You may or may not be familiar with that particular stretch of shorebreak. It’s a world-class skim local. And at times, a pretty darn good river surfing spot, too. You can skip right to the river surfing at the 5:51 mark or enjoy some of Blair’s other adventures. We alway do.
